Welcome to Kipling’s Garage Bar

Kipling’s Garage Bar is housed in a former auto service garage in Sydney’s Upper North Shore. The once 1920’s garage now features a chic industrial setting serving up elegant, rustic, honest ‘street food’ tapas menu that flicks your senses from classic, nostalgic flavours to new, inspired dishes cooked by super-skilled Chef, Thiago Menezes.  The casual neighborhood spot serves classic and modern spirits, craft beers, ciders alongside expertly selected wines featuring a kaleidoscope of vintages and varieties from Australia, Europe, and Latin America.

Reservation

We take lunch reservations everyday from 12PM,  a dinner reservation may only be taken for a

6PM sitting, Sunday – Thursday, after that we operate on a walk-in basis.
No reservations available for Friday and Saturday night dinner, walk-ins only

Taking inspiration from around the world, all the dishes on our dinner menu are designed for sharing and our delectable lunch menu is À la carte designed as starters, mains & dessert. Using incredible Australian produce, and paired with ingredients so good they really speak for themselves. This weeks featured wine

 Best’s Riesling 2014

Best’s Great Western consistently produce aromatic, flavoursome and perfectly structured Rieslings that stand alongside Australia’s great Riesling. The newly released 2014 Best’s Riesling is another excellent example of this variety that is already receiving plenty of plaudits. An ultimately juicy lime essence burst of flavour on the palate will make the wine irresistible.

Kitchen Delight

If it’s been a while between visits, now might be the time to re-find the love. The Kipling’s Team have a special lunch promo, $35.00 for a 3 course lunch (Mondays to Thursdays), which takes in such classics as our Herb crumbed Barramundi fillet with pumpkin puree and broccolini .

Our beautiful wine bar serves  expertly selected wines with a kaleidoscope of vintages and varieties from Australia, Europe, Latin America, alongside craft beers and cider. The bar menu also embraces a huge range of International spirits, liqueurs and soft drinks with everything chosen to complement the incredible food.
