Welcome to Kipling’s Garage Bar

Kipling’s Garage Bar is housed in a former auto service garage in Sydney’s Upper North Shore. The once 1920’s garage now features a chic industrial setting serving up elegant, rustic, honest ‘street food’ tapas menu that flicks your senses from classic, nostalgic flavours to new, inspired dishes cooked by super-skilled Chef, Thiago Menezes.  The casual neighborhood spot serves classic and modern spirits, craft beers, ciders alongside expertly selected wines featuring a kaleidoscope of vintages and varieties from Australia, Europe, and Latin America.

Reservation

We take lunch reservations everyday from 12PM,  a dinner reservation may only be taken for a

6PM sitting, Sunday – Thursday, after that we operate on a walk-in basis.
No reservations available for Friday and Saturday night dinner, walk-ins only

Taking inspiration from around the world, all the dishes on our dinner menu are designed for sharing and our delectable lunch menu is À la carte designed as starters, mains & dessert. Using incredible Australian produce, and paired with ingredients so good they really speak for themselves. This weeks featured wine

St Hallett Blackwell Shiraz,  Barossa Valley SA

Dense, dark red-purple in colour, it has slightly reductive, sweet, almost jammy fruit on the bouquet, with some savoury earthiness. Long and supple, its measured, evenly fruited palate of sour-edged fruit, rather smooth and polished oak and firmish, crunchy tannins finishes with lingering flavour but lacks a little focus and tightness.

Our beautiful wine bar serves  expertly selected wines with a kaleidoscope of vintages and varieties from Australia, Europe, Latin America, alongside craft beers and cider. The bar menu also embraces a huge range of International spirits, liqueurs and soft drinks with everything chosen to complement the incredible food.
